In this hilarious yet painfully relatable modern satire, Zhiqiang is a young man whose grand visions of success don’t quite match his actions. Spending his days playing video games and rejecting all responsibility, he insists he’s destined for greatness—just not right now. His family, particularly his overprotective parents, cling to the hope that he’ll land a prestigious job and rise to become the pride of the Qian household.
But when neighbors complain about the noise, and his friend Xinran arranges a job interview for him, Zhiqiang’s inflated ego hits reality hard. He attends the interview not to impress but to impose—demanding a high salary, a private office, and no overtime, despite having zero work experience. Unsurprisingly, he fails the interview and ends up assaulting the interviewer in a fit of delusion.
