So what does our newly enlightened protagonist do? Does he confront them? Nope. Does he have a breakdown? NOPE.
He goes full strategic petty and I’m HERE for it.
First move? He just… stops. No more exercising. No more studying. Just pure, beautiful rebellion.
Sister: “You HAVE to keep exercising! You’re embarrassing the family!”
Yuanming: “Nah, I’m good.”
Girlfriend: “I got you these expensive study guides! Also can you buy Yuanting a $200,000 watch?”
Yuanming: “How about no.”
Here’s the kicker—these systems have a BACKLASH EFFECT. If he stops “feeding” them, Yuanting starts suffering. The sister is PANICKING because her golden boy adopted brother is losing his stolen gains.

Mind-Reading = Maximum Drama: Every conversation is a double feature. We see what people SAY vs what they THINK, and the gap is INFURIATING. When his girlfriend is like “I care about you so much!” while thinking “this fat ATM needs to buy stuff for my real crush,” you’ll want to throw your phone.
Smart Revenge, Not Whiny Revenge: Yuanming doesn’t spend 50 episodes moping. Once he knows the truth, he MOVES. He’s strategic, he’s patient, and he strikes when it hurts most. This is a masterclass in playing dumb while being ten steps ahead.
The Sister Is UNHINGED: She’s not even subtle! She’s out here creating magical theft systems, kidnapping business partners’ daughters, and constantly calling her own brother a “dead fatty” to his face. The villainy is turned up to 11 and I respect the commitment.
Zero Romance Bullshit: This isn’t about finding true love. This is about a man who got his entire life stolen and is taking it ALL back. There’s a hint of chemistry with the Jiang Group CEO’s daughter, but it’s like 5% of the plot. We’re here for JUSTICE, not kissy faces.
That Final Confrontation: When everything comes out at the press conference and you watch these terrible people turn on each other like rats on a sinking ship? That’s the good stuff. That’s what we’re here for.

Look, “Return My Perfect Life” is not winning any awards for subtle storytelling or deep character development. What it IS winning is the award for “most satisfying schadenfreude per minute of runtime.”
This drama said “what if we took every toxic family trope, added MAGICAL THEFT SYSTEMS, gave the protagonist mind-reading powers, and then let him absolutely demolish everyone?” And you know what? It WORKS.
Is it ridiculous? Absolutely.
Is it over the top? 100%.
Will you finish it in one sitting while fist-pumping when the bad guys get arrested? YOU BET.
The pacing is lightning fast, the reveals are dramatic as hell, and by the end you’ll be cheering as Yuanming doesn’t just get his perfect life back—he gets something better. A life where the leeches are gone, the truth is out, and he’s standing on top while everyone who wronged him faces consequences.
Sometimes you don’t need nuance. Sometimes you just need to watch some truly awful people get exactly what they deserve.
Rating: 7.5/10 – Loses half a point for making zero logical sense, but gains it all back for pure entertainment value and revenge satisfaction.
