The Story
Tang Jun (A’Jun) is running the Wanlong Chamber of Commerce — a powerful underworld organization with its hands in everything shady: weapons, illegal loans, casinos, you name it. But Tang Jun isn’t your typical crime boss. He has a code. A line he won’t cross. And the moment he decides to drag the entire Chamber into legitimate territory, every snake in the operation starts showing their fangs.
It starts with a young man named Hei Niu facing down loan sharks who destroyed his family — his father is dead, his mother is in the hospital, and he has nothing left but rage. Tang Jun steps in, shuts it down, and takes Hei Niu under his wing. Then he stands before every core member of the Chamber and makes it crystal clear: weapons, casinos, large shipments — done. We go clean or we go nowhere.
Not everyone’s happy about losing their cash flow. And that’s where everything explodes.
The Chaos That Follows
Yao Nan, once a close brother, turns on Tang Jun hard. He accuses him of killing Hei Niu for “righteousness,” cutting off everyone’s income, and destroying the men who built the Chamber from nothing. The confrontation between them is one of the most electric scenes in the drama — two men who crawled out of the same gutter, now staring at each other across an uncrossable line. Tang Jun gives him every chance to turn back. Yao Nan can’t.
Then there’s Lei Wei — the real snake. While everyone else is fighting in the open, Lei Wei is working in the shadows. He engineers a frame-up so clean that Tang Jun ends up accused of murdering a government official, with all evidence pointing directly at him. His brothers are scattered. Pepper is devastated. And Lei Wei moves in to pick the bones of the Chamber like the vulture he is.
Except — Tang Jun isn’t dead.
He’s badly injured, suffering short-term memory loss, hiding in the home of an unlikely ally. But he is alive. And when the fog lifts and he remembers exactly who he is, the real mission begins.
The Rescue. The Reckoning.
Lei Wei makes the boldest move of the drama — he snatches Pepper (Lajiao) and sends Tang Jun an “invitation” to his wedding. The message is unmistakable: come, kneel, confess to crimes you didn’t commit, and beg for her life in public. Or lose her.
Tang Jun gathers every brother still standing, and they roll up to that wedding like judgment day.
Da Xia — Tang Jun’s most loyal right hand — storms the compound alone, taking on wave after wave of men to get to Pepper. The fight sequences are relentless. The tension is suffocating. And when Tang Jun and Lei Wei finally square up, every slow-burn setup pays off in full.
Lei Wei thought he was the smartest man in the room. What he never accounted for? The people Tang Jun treated as brothers — not pawns — showing up when it mattered most.
“The biggest difference between you and me is — you see them as pawns. I treat them as brothers.”
That line alone is worth the entire watch.
The Ending You Didn’t Know You Needed
The final act is quiet after the storm. Justice lands exactly where it belongs. What remains is a small circle of survivors — people marked by everything they lost and everything they fought for. Tang Jun and Pepper finally get a moment to breathe. Da Xia’s arc closes in a way that will sit with you long after the screen goes dark.
And in the very last scene, a child asks what a brother is.
“A brother is someone who can live and die together.”
Yeah. This drama SAID what it said.

Pepper (Lajiao) — Feisty, brave, and not here to be saved quietly. She holds her own even when the odds are stacked sky-high against her.
